Jess tells us about Crystal Healing Massage, Sound Healing, and who she’d hang out with for the day

The Buddha says; when you like a flower, you just pluck it. But when you love a flower, you water it daily. Jess, daughter of the endless sea, sister of the wind through the trees, mother and protector to nature's beings, waters the world day after precious day. She is pure love, unconditional and universal. Her aura giggles, her understanding is made from the stuff of the stars, she's the woman we painted long ago on the walls of the caves. Whether connecting with nature on her own or with company, she always waters the creation with beauty and love.

Jess provides natural healing through Massage Therapy, Reiki Energy Healing, Sound Meditations, and workshops. Feel free to reach out to her with any questions or to book a session. But for now, light some incense, get cozy with your favorite herb, and be at one with the universe along with the lovely, free-spirited Jess.

You offer so many lovely, relaxing and therapeutic massages! Swedish, Deep Tissue, Pregnancy, Hot Stone, and Crystal Healing! Tell us about the Crystal Healing Massage and its benefits!Receiving a massage promotes natural healing, improves circulation, boosts the immune systems, reduces stress and tension held in the body, relieves aches and pains, and promotes deep relaxation. Using Rose Quartz Massage Stones as a compliment to the already wonderful benefits of massage assists you in opening up your Heart Space, connecting you to unconditional love and inner peace within. This service is incredibly nurturing and soothing to the mind, body, and spirit!

You’re such a free spirit and a daughter of the earth with a passion for nature and natural healing, how do you feel these values transfer and add to your approach of massage therapy? By living this passion and using my natural gifts in my practice. I am naturally empathetic and can feel when something is out of harmony or misaligned. I assist others to come back to their natural state and homeostasis. We all have the ability to heal ourselves, and I love to awaken natural healing in others through my practice. By giving someone a space to allow this healing to occur is incredibly rewarding and fuels my fire to create healing for the entire collective. I love to recommend natural healing techniques alongside physician’s care to create optimal healing, and share my experiences so others may learn how to heal themselves!

What is Sound Healing and how can it help attain balance and harmony within one’s self?Sound Healing uses vibration and resonance to create natural healing. Everything is made up of energy, everything vibrates. I use tuning forks, singing bowls, and other sound tools to produce frequencies that purify and cleanse the aura, your personal electromagnetic field. This process helps to raise your vibration and align with your higher self. It will assist you to deepen your brainwaves and enter into the parasympathetic nervous system “rest and digest” where natural healing occurs. Sound healing can bring up unresolved issues held within our unconscious and subconscious, bringing them to the surface and light so we consciously heal any outdated patterns no longer serving us and evolve to a higher state of being!

You experienced a life-changing event during a crystal singing bowl meditation. Would you share with us a little bit about that? Yes! I had very little experience with meditation or any type of energy work before this event. I was quite unsure at first how it would go as I never heard of such a thing before. We all laid down on yoga mats and got comfortable as the practitioner started to play the crystal singing bowls. I found it so fascinating how the sounds would enter into one ear and twirl around my brain brain before coming out the other ear. I focused on my breath, but in my head was still unsure if I was “doing it right”. I noticed myself observing my thoughts and feelings and allowing this experience. I got to a point where I fully relaxed and let myself go to this experience and that’s where the magic occured. I experienced complete euphoria and ecstasy within myself and was full of joy and connection afterwards. I fell in love with the experience and more incredible things started happening. The chi in my hands became opened and I could feel the balls of energy in my hands, I could feel everything around me though my hands like they were radios picking up on all the different frequencies and stations. I knew from that very moment, I had to use my natural healing powers by channeling energy through my hands. The third meditation I went to transformed me even more. I experienced being touched by God, the Universe, Source Energy, it looked exactly like the Creation of Adam by Michelangelo.. My hands rose as they now did when my chi opened and like a single touch of a finger from the Divine, I felt myself completed immersed in the unified field of the Universe. It was what I call my “full blown Spiritual Awakening” which has led me on my journey to being in Unity and Harmony.

Where can someone attend one of your Sound Healing Meditations?Currently, I am practicing at my Office located in Suite 3 at The Way to Healthy Living Center 4508 Zuck Rd, Erie, PA, 16506. I also hold group sound meditations and workshops inside the Yurt at the same location! Liking and following my business page will keep you informed on the next upcoming event!

You’re a lightworker, full of positivity and love, how does viewing the world from this perspective change the way you see yourself, others, and the planet? When we remember that we are all One, and each of us has our own personal individual journey, it makes it easier is accept, love, and forgive ourselves exactly as we are and co-exist peacefully with others. We can see everyone as a mirror of ourselves and see what’s being reflected back to us from our own inner World. I can let go of anger, hatred, disgust and other negativity towards myself and others and realize they are unhealed parts of myself that I can heal from and become a greater whole. When we love ourselves and shine light on our own darkness, we not only heal ourselves, but become a ripple effect of healing for the entire collective energy. By being aware and mindful of our own energy and choosing positivity and love, we spread that to others and have a greater outlook on life. Realizing that any darkness served a purpose and finding the lesson and blessings within each human experience. I see this planet as a wonderful place to explore ourselves on so many levels and create deeper understanding and compassion for all souls including the energy of this planet.

ECHINACEA: Herb of the Month

Echinacea is one of the most widely used and researched herbs in the world. Most commonly, echinacea augustifolia and echinacea purpurea are used, but there do exist other medicinal varieties. Echinacea is native to North America and has been used by the Great Plain Tribes for more than 400 years, as well as by traditional herbalists. Before 1950, when antibiotics were introduced, echinacea was a very popular medicine. It remains popular today as an easy-to-grow ornamental garden flower, with showy pink or purple petals and a mounded head on long stems. (It is also called purple coneflower). Bees and butterflies are particularly fond of these blooms.
Current research has shown that echinacea can reduce your chances of catching a cold or flu by 58% and reduce the duration by one and a half days, if taken early as a tea or tincture. The roots, seeds and flowers of this plant all have medicinal properties. The aerial parts of the plant are the most effective, as they contain more polysaccharides, which are known to trigger immune function.
Most historical references to echinacea speak of the topical use as a pain reliever- it can be made into a paste and applied to help with headaches, tonsillitis, stomachaches, toothaches, eczema and other skin conditions. If taken regularly as tea, those suffering from rheumatoid arthritis can benefit. Echinacea soothes inflammation and helps to heal the stomach. It is also hepful for urinary tract infections, upper respiratory infections and wounds that are slow to heal.
Use echinacea with caution, as high doses can cause nausea.

Humanitarian Profile: Herb Pharm

We are proud to carry an array of Herb Pharm products. Check out their website to read the story of their founders, their mission and about the ethical way in which they source their plants.
"...Sara and Ed became leading, founding members of United Plant Savers, or UpS, a group dedicated to preserving native herb populations in the US. The organization changed the way the herb world thought about cultivation and wildcrafting. At a time when wildcrafting was considered to be the optimal way to harvest herbs, UpS observed that some wild plant populations were under threat from the practice. We worked with the organization then and in the decades since to conserve and protect native herb populations for generations to come. That’s why we became a UpS Botanical Sanctuary.
Our passion for the work UpS does is apparent in the decades of actions, stewardship and advocacy we’ve taken to support it. These include being a Certified Organic farm, a Monarch Butterfly Waystation, Salmon-Safe, Bee-Friendly and a Certified B Corp."

UNAKITE: Gemstone of the Month

"Unakite is a stone of vision. It balances emotions with spirituality. Placed on the third eye, it opens it and promotes visualization and psychic vision. This stone also provides grounding when it is needed and can be useful after meditation or psychic work.
Unakite can be used as a casting crystal for scrying, signifying where compromise and integration are needed. Placed in the environment, either as a large piece or as several tumbled stones in a bowl, Unakite brings a calm gentle energy and can negate the effects of electromagnetic pollution from television sets if placed on top or close by.
Unakite facilitates rebirthing, bringing to light and integrating insights from the past about the cause of blockages, and gently releasing conditions that inhibit spiritual and psychological growth. It is also helpful in past-life healing for going back to the source of a problem and reframing it. Unakite can be held or placed on the third eye for this purpose.
Whether disease arises in the far or near past, Unakite reaches the root cause of it at whatever level it occurs, bringing it to the surface so that it can be transformed."  -The Crystal Bible
